It is my pleasure to write this email informing you of an event that occurred on May 12th, 2011.

 

Following the arrest of 3 suspects for luxury vehicle theft (LEXUS) in the LGM-11051-048 case, our investigation led us to a scrap yard in the North Shore area where we met with a person who was involved in the crime.

 

While on site, I noticed a GLOBAL i # 072524912 sticker attached to the window of a grey Toyota Venza door that was sitting on a rack with many other doors.

 

With the help of this number, it was confirmed that this was in fact a stolen vehicle, and a subsequent search allowed us to seize 37 vehicle parts that may have been taken from 37 stolen vehicles.

 

The main person involved in this network is still in custody.

 

Thanks to the fact that my colleague Phillipe Gauvin and I attended your presentation at the Canadian Police College, it was easy for us to recognize the aforementioned sticker.

 

Congratulations on a system that has assisted us in apprehending some unsuspecting thieves!

I would like to bring to your attention that Globali.com served as an effective aid to a police investigation.

 

In reference to the vehicle seized under section 10-172 of the Criminal Code, the Globali.com engraving system proved to be a major factor in the authentication of the aforementioned vehicle.

 

It must be said that your technical support department was quick and effective in identifying property linked to proceeds of the crime. The techniques and expertise in anti-theft engraving on Globali.com were instrumental in leading the investigation.

 

The fact that police officers have constant access to the Globali.com information database was a significant factor. In 20 years of police experience, I have learned that those involved in vehicle theft fear three things: 1-being seen, 2-being heard and 3-being short on time. As such, Globali.com is a system that should be feared by criminals and embraced by police officers and citizens.

 

According to my experience in policing, I can attest that Globali.com can help to lead investigations regarding vehicle theft, can aid in recovering the vehicles, and can be an important factor in community crime prevention.

 

Overall, the fact is that the Globali.com system shows great potential in terms of vehicle authentication. Once again, we are very thankful for the efficiency of Globali.com.

The Lake County Sheriff, while inspecting a car lot in Lake County Indiana, came across a 2002 Chevrolet C/K 3500 truck with what appeared to be an altered VIN #. All federal stickers had been removed and the computer brain was disconnected. Efforts were made to obtain a secondary VIN # with no success.

This agent noticed an etching on all of the windows (PP******* 888-291-9991). This agent called the number and spoke with I believe Alex. After identifying myself and the Lake County Indiana Auto Theft Task force, Alex revealed the VIN # relating to your # PP******* belonging to vin # *****************. The VIN # came back an active steal out of Jefferson County Wisconsin.
